In the Radiochromatography Laboratory, Thin Layer Radio Chromatography (TLRC) and High Performance Liquid Radio Chromatography (HPLRC) have been used for quality control of radiolabeled compounds.

Additionally, HPLC can be used for analysis of synthesized products, nanoparticles {metallic (gold, silver, zinc oxide, titanium oxide, boron nitride nanotubes, quantum dots, iron oxide etc.) and polymeric (liposome, lipid, PLGA)}, aminoacids, proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, drugs, pesticides compounds.

Radio High Performance Liquid Chromatography (Shimadzu, Tokyo, Japan) present in the laboratory consists of the following parts:

Furthermore; Malzern Zeta-Sizer is used for determination of  particle size and  zeta potential of nanoparticles.

Radioactivity measurements utilizing RAD501 Single Channel Analyzer Cd(Te) solid State Detector is performed within the opportunities of this laboratory.


 

In this laboratory, F-18, I-125, I-131 and Tc-99m radionuclides are radiolabeling with {Amino acids, peptides, bacteria, drugs, hormones, vitamins, anti-depressants, nanoparticles {metallic (gold, silver, zinc oxide, titanium oxide, boron nitride nanotubes, quantum dots, iron oxide etc.) and polymeric (liposome, lipid, PLGA)}} and quality control studies are carried out.

Isotope dilution analysis and studies on the removal of radionuclides in the hospital waste are carried out.

In this laboratory, Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), Radio Thin Layer Chromatography (TLRC) and paper electrophoresis methods are used for quality control studies.

In this laboratory, Nuclear Spectroscopy System design, maintenance, repair, microprocessor-controlled radiatio dose  detection systems and design of detectors are carried out.

In the laboratory facilities there are many emulator, a simulator and programmer unit which would be used in the design of microprocessor cards.

All card designs are carried out according to Eurocrat standard.
Additionally, there are basic equipment and supplies such as many circuit elements, power supply, oscilloscope and electronic boards in Nuclear Electronics Laboratory.

 

Therapeutic effects of radionuclide labeled molecules on human cancer cells have been investigated in this laboratory. Within the scope of these researches; radiolabeled molecules on healthy and cancerous cells examining the uptake parameters, cytotoxicity, apoptosis and flourescent imaging studies have been carried out.

In the laboratory, CO2 incubator, Laminar Flow Cabinet, cooled centrifuge, multiplate reader, autoclave and various microscopes (light, inverted, stereo and flourescent) are available.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In this laboratory various fields of organic and / or inorganic synthesis maintained such as nanoparticles, quantum dots, isolation of active ingredients of pharmaceuticals, chemical modifications of structure, conjugation, extraction of plants.

There are various equipments such as rotary evaporator, automatic titroprocess, ultrasonic bath, precision scales.

Creating infrastructure in order to carry out the in vivo pre-clinical studies of the prepared radiolabeled compounds.

In this laboratory, bioaffinity of various radioactive compounds are examined at studies on experimental animals (rat, mouse). In addition, creating a variety of animal models and feeding by the gavage method studies carried out.
